Ok, so some of you may have heard me ranting about the Magpul FMG-9. Basically, it looks like something totally innocent, and then unfolds into a fist full of full automatic fury. Its built around the Glock 18 which the twin of the Glock 17 model, but full automatic. beautiful. So, long story short, Magpul abandoned their FMG-9 and instead passed it off to Magul PTS (Professional Training and Simulations) which is Magpul’s airsoft branch. Soooo this has lead to a Magpul PTS FMG-9 in development and set for a release in early March along with a large variety of other Magpul PTS products specifically for airsoft including but not limited to angled foregrips, rail covers, stocks, back up sites etc. And possibly a Masada. More to come on that…. So more about this FMG-9… Its pretty much built off of the upper slide and barrel of the KSC/KWA Glock 18. Well if anyone is aware, there has been a rediculous shortage of Glock models on the airsoft market due to legal issues. Its screwed over a lot of companies out of getting Glock replicas and parts, etc. (I don’t know why Glock won’t jump on the airsoft train). Good luck trying to track down a KSC G18 if you want one for this…. Well, this is where working at an airsoft retailer has its advantages. It took 10 minutes from my lunch break to go out to the warehouse and track down used broken G18 that is in no condition to be sold or used as spare parts (as we have been out of Glock replicas forever). I took it home with a 50 round magazine and after a little inspection to my pleasure, it works. In full auton only. Semi is not happening. I don’t think this is an issue. I now have a donner Glock that I got for a steal of a price, normally 180, I got it for well well well below cost. It’ll do.
With all of that said, I have my Pre-Order on my Magpul PTS FMG-9. I’ll be posting pictures this weekend.
